Do you feel like you’re stressed all of the time and there’s nothing you can do? Does it seem like every second of every day you’re exhausted, yet you’ve never felt busier? That’s natural. That’s what so many are feeling right now. So many of us are dealing with stress related to the pandemic. The entire world feels, for so many, essentially upside down right now. With all these going on, what other way can give you relaxation than getting your own Infrared Sauna in Los Angeles.
The truth is that while the stress and fear of getting the virus is paramount, that’s not all that we’re dealing with right at this moment. So many of us have lost our jobs, or our jobs are hanging on by a thread, or we aren’t sure where and when our kids can go to school, and so forth. If you feel stressed out and overwhelmed, you aren’t alone. We’re all in this together, too.
Infrared Sauna Benefits: Mental Health Potential and the Challenge
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines “mental health” as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”
Many of us can do that. However, it’s perfectly normal to feel like you can’t at this time. That makes sense, with everything going on. How can you possibly be expected to deal well with “the normal stresses of life” when the stresses of life right now are anything but “normal?” It’s OK to be scared. It’s OK to be worried. There’s nothing wrong with that at all.
Really, that’s what this article is going to be about. The truth is that each of us can do something, a little something every day, no matter how dark it may seem. Our bodies and brains are resilient. There are little things you can do to help your mental health, to boost it a bit. That way, you can feel better as well as be better equipped to deal with whatever the world throws at us next.
Some of you may have laughed just to see the heading of this section. During this stressful time, so many of us have been, well, stress eating. But, that’s not going to make you feel better today or tomorrow. Eating a healthy diet for your needs is important at all times. However, it’s especially important during the pandemic. You want to make sure that you’re in the best health possible.
The healthier your body is, the better your mental health will be as well. Too much sugar, too much alcohol, too much saturated fat – that’s all bad. Yes, in moderation, in small amounts, occasionally, those things can be OK. However, they can’t be a constant, major part of your diet. You want to make sure to eat protein, omega-3 fatty acid-high foods, and more. That gives you the best chance of feeling as well as you can right now.
Connect Right, Too
Just as the diet of foods you eat is important, so too is your diet of what media you consume. If you spend all day every day “doom scrolling” on your timeline, reading bad news over and over and over again, you aren’t going to have very good mental health. In a very real way, you’ll be harming your own mental health. That said, you don’t want to be misinformed or under informed, either.
So, give yourself a little bit of time each day to follow the news. Maybe it’s a half hour, maybe it’s twenty minutes, and so forth. Go to sources that you can trust, too – there’s a lot of misinformation out there. On top of that, make sure to stay in contact with the people in your life, too. Whether that’s through social media or just plain old fashioned phone calls, connection is so important right now.
Exercise and an Infrared Sauna
Exercise is important, as it will boost your health and mood. If you exercise plenty, you’ll reap the mental and physical rewards. Another way you can help yourself: getting an infrared spa.
See, for so many people, the one spa they had in life was the one at the gym. Well, the gym isn’t a safe place to be right now. In fact, it’s one of the places you’re most likely to catch the virus. Plenty of gyms in plenty of states aren’t even open for that exact reason. But, that doesn’t mean you should have to go without all of the health benefits of an infrared spa.
With our infrared spas, you can get all of those health benefits while staying in your home. Eat right, don’t watch too much news, stay in contact with the people who matter, exercise, and recuperate in your infrared spa. That’s the best any of us can do right now.
