Healthy and Happy – Infrared Sauna Use

Do you have aches and pains but don’t know why? Does it seem like you’ve been more tired than you ever have before, even though it doesn’t seem like you do all that much in the course of a day? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you’re like any other number of people during the pandemic.  Even though more and more of us are committing to exercise and eating right, it’s hard to fit those things in every day. Between work, family, kids, and so much more, it’s not always easy (if even possible) to fit in that time when you should help yourself to heal, to recuperate. This is where Infrared sauna benefits comes in.

Infrared Sauna: Heat That Helps

You might think: “OK, I could take a hot shower, I could even sit in my Jacuzzi, what’s the deal with why I would need an infrared sauna?” The truth is that infrared saunas provides a different kind of healing than those other options. The infrared red light actually helps your body heal in any number of ways.

See, the infrared red light is “penetrating.” That’s not to say it’s “penetrating” in that it breaks your skin, and hurts you, or something negative like that. Actually, it’s the exact opposite. The heat penetrates your body and actually stimulates metabolic activity. It can raise your body’s temperature to help you to better heal from what you’ve had to deal with all throughout the course of the day. That infrared heat can help your body in ways that may not seem possible.

Benefits of the Infrared Sauna Heat

The truth is that there are different kinds of infrared saunas, and thus different kinds of healing light. For example, one of the more common is called “Near Infrared.” This is what it sounds like: the infrared lights aren’t far from your body. They’re entirely safe and won’t burn you or anything like that, they just happen to be kind of close to your body.

They can help tremendously with wound healing. Sure, they aren’t like wearing a band aid, but if you’re like so many of us, you have those aches and pains, those cuts and scrapes, that come from living just any kind of day. Whether you were working in the garage, going for a run, or just sitting at your desk all day, this infrared spa can help heal your wounds.

Additionally, another way they can assist is by boosting your immune system. While we all are doing everything we can not to get COVID-19, the truth is that there are many other kinds of viruses and diseases that we could potentially get. By sitting in this spa for a period of time, building up over days and weeks, you can actually boost your immune system.

Benefits of the Mid Infrared and Far

Move the infrared light away just a bit, and you’ll have a mid infrared sauna. This has an entirely different series of health benefits. For example, it can help to improve your circulation. As we get older, our circulation doesn’t work nearly as well as it did. This can lead to pain and worse. By sitting in this sauna for some time, you can actually get circulation back to areas that didn’t have it (or have as much) before.

When you’re in pain, it’s hard to get too much out of the day. That’s true whether we’re in a pandemic or not. A mid infrared sauna can help with pain relief. That’s not to say that it will be able to make the pain go away, but, it’s a safe, non-addictive, non-invasive way to help to relieve the pain you might be feeling from your day to day life.

Additionally, weight loss is a benefit of the mid infrared sauna. Now, we aren’t saying that you’re going to drop 50 pounds from sitting in a sauna. But, as one more part of your exercise and diet regime, a sauna can help. It can help your body to repair, to feel better, so that you can exercise all that much more tomorrow and the next day.

Further out, you’ll find the “Far Infrared” sauna. This is what it sounds like: the light is further away. However, the benefits will be up close and personal. You’ll find that it can lower your blood pressure. That goes hand in hand with relaxation. Do you find that sometimes, it’s impossible to kick back and relax after a long, stressful day? Does it seem like you can’t find a way for your mind to just “shut off?” This sauna can help.
